I feel like the Grandma after learning of KG's imminent departure this morning. I spent 5 years as a season ticket holder for the Wolves. I covered the team as a writer for Hoopsworld, and more than anything I was a die-hard KG fan. These last few years have been miserable, so I understand it was time to move on, but it annoys me to no end that Kevin McHale and Glen Taylor still are members of this organization in his wake.

Favorite K.G. memory: when he drained two threes late in the fourth quarter vs. Sacramento that tied the game they eventually won during their unforgettable run to the Conference Finals. Amazing stuff. I'm already coming to grips with the idea of switching my allegiance to Boston.
I love Ray Allen too. So it's not going to be hard to cheer for the Celtics.
And cmon, the #1 Team Falch player in the history of basketball is Larry Bird, so I already am a half-hearted Celts fan.
Too bad the NBA sucks now...
All I want to know is why didn't they throw T.Hud in on the deal? That would have made the deal tolerable.
T-Hud was bought out today.
While I'm happy that KG is finally out of this shit hole, it saddens me he still won't ever win an NBA title.
The Celtics aren't done yet. They still have money for free agents, and after this deal I think you'll see some guys coming out of the woodwork looking to play with them.
There isn't another team in the league with this type of Superstar status. If they stay healthy and add a couple of vets, they'll be right there.
Just disappointed Phoenix wasn't willing to give up Amare and swing the KG-Stodamire deal.
When KG goes to Boston, (a quick sidenote, other tea party teams that have prospered with Minnesotans, The Red Sox, Ortiz, The Patriots, Moss, The Bruins, Manny Fernandez, and now the Celtics, KG.) It will be sad. I was in the middle of the daily grind today and looked up at the TV and what did I see? KG's pic next to the Celtics logo.
I felt so cheap, so used, so dirty. While I wish KG the best and a ship. I realize this organization was'nt going to make it happen. When I saw the franchise of our state associated with another team, my stomach dropped, and it felt like an immediate member of the family had died.
Its sad that a majority of fans feel that KG should have been traded, his years of teamwork, determination, and gumption, were not fully appreciated and/or realized here. McHale from Boston to Minnesota, and KG from Minnesota to Boston. Sad.
As far as I'm concerend there are only 3 proffesional sports in this state. Baseball, Hockey, and Football. Basketball in Minnesota is tainted permanetly. Clem Haskins, Marbury, Rider, Donyell Marshall, Sprewell, Laettner, firing Flip. While we want basketball here it's been made obvious that basketball in Minnesota doesn't have a fighting chance.
Glen Taylor seems like a humble and trustworthy billionaire, so why does he let his multi million dollar investment, make continual mistake after mistake. Fuck. Why didn't we fight for AI? AI and KG spells GIKA, which is armenian for championship.
KG will be missed. Nothin but love, go Celtics.
