Life and Times

Here's what I've been up to lately, in case anyone cares:

Fellow superbeast Jake Mancaster and I went to the Melvins/Helmet show on Saturday. I'm probably not as big a fan of these bands as I was in 1993, but nonetheless the show was awesome, and it was great seeing some folks that I haven't run into since the days I was hanging out at Grumpy's on a nightly basis (see B.A.S.: Before ad school). I saw some old girlfriends and just about every waitress that has ever served me a beer in this town. I gave out a lot of hugs and high fives. I banged my head and pumped my fist. I spent a lot of money and drank my share of beer. It was a good day indeed.

Jake took some video with a new fancy camera he got free from work. As soon as he figures out how to download it to Google video, I'll put it up on the blog.

In other news, I'll be teaching Radio 101 at Brainco this Fall. I've been annointed an FOB by the higher ups. FOB means "Friend of Brainco" and when you say it you have to follow it with maniacal laughter and a slap on the ass. FWIW, Mancaster is also an FOB. He'll be teaching Long Copy and Parity. We teach on the same night, so there is a strong liklihood that beers will be consumed in Hopkins on Thursday nights. A very strong liklihood.

I'm still looking for a replacement roommate for Falch. By replacement I mean a far less odiferous and snarky person. By roommate, I mean slave. Put the word out!

For free?!

You mean he stole it with the intention of pawning it for canned domestic beer and processed meats?
