She's a Bad Mamma Jamma!!

Ok, before you get all hot and bothered that there is a near nude plastic doll on Superbeast, let me enlighten you. This my friends is Darlene. Rapper Ice-T's former girlfriend/wife, and my childhood fantasy. This figurine, created by artist Insa, was inspired by Ice-T's Power album cover, featuring Ice, DJ Evil E, and the beautiful Darlene.

I don't want to get all "smell the glove" on the bit, but Darlene is epitome of beauty and badassitude. Scantily clad in the one-piece, carrying a mother fucking pump shotty. A late eighties era feminist Foxy Brown of sorts.

As Superbeast Kelley Lynch says "it's the ruler of all dolls". Indeed.

That tape scared the shit out of me when I was little. Even the cover. Ice had that pump shotgun and his gnarly slicked back hair.

I used to steal it from my older brother and rock it on my walkman while riding my BMX bike.

I was way cooler when I was 8.

It's my favorite of all the early Ice-T albums.

"Cruisin' for a bruisin', I'm taking no crap, pipe bomb in my trunk, got a 9 in my lap, I'm layin' for a sprayin', tonight there's no playin".
