I just purchased a ticket to see Steely Dan on October 12th at the historic Paramount Theatre in Seattle.

1. I'm elated to have secured a ticket to an incredibly rare tour.
2. My purchase adds a little ray of sunshine to an otherwise shitty day.
3. I would have rather seen the Tuesday night performance of the Royal Scam album, but I'm dedicated to teaching students the wonders of advertising that night. I'll regret this decision later.
4. Instead, I'll be witnessing Steely D play the entire Aja album. Not one of my favorites, but it will suffice.
5. I'm going by myself, because I couldn't find anyone here that likes Steely Dan. Super gay.
6. I'm willing to bet that I'll see at least 700 bald, white men in attendance.
7. Of the 700 bald white dudes, at least 300 will be wearing a beret or some varietal of ridiculous hat.
8. Of those 300 bald white dudes with berets on, 175 of them sold grass in college.
9. I will talk about this concert to anyone who will listen for the next two months.
10. Only like 3 of my friends will care.
