Pu Pu Platter.

Today was a great day for the Internet. A brief recap in pictures and video.

A little fun from production.

"Damn Dirty Disco Apes" - via BoingBoing.

Maximum shredding with the Dark Prince.

80 YouTube clips of amateur musicians covering Led Zeppelin's "Black Dog." Via Dangerous Minds.

If you were ever wondering what happened to the Manson Family, most are still behind bars. Most are born again Christians too. Gotta serve somebody. Here's an interview with Susan Atkins from 1976.

A prolific, seminal and scary time in American history. The Incident at Altamont, Vietnam, Woodstock, a cultural divide, The Kent State Massacre and underscored by the Manson Murders. The Family: what a bunch of scary motherfuckers.

When your grandma let us watch the first Manson movie on television in '73, she would cover our eyes during the really freaky parts, but we knew what was going on. She couldn't cover our ears too.

The late sixties and early seventies. It was freak show of colossal proportions. It was also wonderful, lucid and unforgettable.

Indeed Uncs.

I just finished Helter Skelter. It scared the shit out of me. I also just took a day trip up the Laurel Canyon to scope some of the sights. Creepy.
