Philamore Lincoln. You're The One. 1969.

I was poking around for some old Glyn Johns 45's when I stumbled across this masterpiece by Philamore Lincoln. Recorded in 1969, "The North Wind Blew South" has an incredible opening break, and a blistering solo by Jimmy Page who was still picking up some random sessions at the time.

The song, and album, is so far ahead of its time. Part psych, part pre-new wave, part Jimmy fucking Page. The groove is undeniable.
