Listening to Prince in a private rehearsal, playing piano way back in 1983 is such a beautiful mind-fuck. This dude is so talented it's retarded, and as close as my generation ever got to a prolific Sly Stone or Donny Hathaway. These intimate sessions are in a lot of ways better than what he had pressed on wax. Happy birthday you little beast.
