Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good!

While on set today I happened across this mythic vehicle from hilarious celluloid. If I had run into Bill Murray or Slimer, I may have died. Old school buddy Santore added this interesting anecdote that blew my mind:

"You realize Ghostbusters was more than just a movie; it foretold much of what occurred in America the years following its release. For instance, I was first alerted to the decline of the print media and the potential rise of the digital age when Dr. Egon Spengler responded to a question regarding his reading habits by proclaiming "Print is dead." The financial crisis? Yeah, Ghostbusters knew what was up (Stanz's concerns about mortgaging the house his parents left him was met by Venkman's flippant, and prophetic, response that "You're not going to lose the house, everybody has three mortgages nowadays."). The silent obesity epidemic (which is not all bad for you BrewCrew since it provides more surface area to be bedazzled)? What do you think the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man was all about (something seemingly innocuous insidiously permeating our daily lives only to destroy us over time!!). Deep stuff dude."

Deep stuff indeed.
