The trailer for Maximum Overdrive is far scarier than the actual movie, thanks to Stephen King's shithouse crazy intro. It's his damn wonky eyes and rat chompers. You obviously can't trust that dude.
As a kid, I really liked the short-story Trucks that the film was based on. I remember thinking the movie was pretty rad too, but maybe that was because of the super sweet AC/DC soundtrack. Anyway, inanimate objects turning on humans because the earth passed through some diabolical comet trail is a fucking beastly plot. Too bad King made it into a comedy.
