Led Zeppelin. Kezar Stadium, SF. 1973.
The concert that got Zep banned from playing outdoors in San Francisco. Apparently the show was so loud that the windows of the UCSF hospital were rattling, driving patients insane.
I met an old drunk at my local bar who stated "it was so fucking loud that the music was bouncin' off of Twin Peaks…fucking great, man."
50,000 fans showed up to what looks like a high school football field. Hundreds of fans lined the rooftops around the stadium as well.
This venue is a couple blocks from my current apartment.
