Canned

That was my expression when myself and a third of our creative department got the axe today. I didn't see it coming, not in the least.

There used to be an expression about hard work and dividends, or something like that. I call bullshit.

So you'll probably find me shoveling sidewalks this winter. Kick this kid some change, will you kind beasts?

Holy crap dude! I'm sorry man. Well if my landlord doesn't take care of it, I know of some stuff you can shovel.

Best of luck man.

Speaking as one who was also once laid off, I offer my sincere condolences.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that.

Considering the ecological and economical meltdown humanity faces, maybe it's time we all start farming again.

I am sorry to hear the bad news, Casey. Someone once told me you're not truly an advertising creative until you get kicked to the curb by an agency. Whether that's true or not, you're a damn good writer and that's all that matters.

Fuck dude, that sucks! I'd say take heart in the fact that I hear there's all kinds of carnage going on in the biz right now, but that's nothing to take heart in either.

Let me know if you want to move to China.

That fucking blows goats man...I'm stunned stupid right now. I ran into Mike Totz on Friday evening and he said he'd been let go, but didn't let on how big a hit y'all took...

Keep your head in the game, you're one talented dude and I for one know you'll get back in the game stat.
