The Barefoot Bandit, AKA Colton Harris-Moore, was arrested in the Bahamas while trying to make a water escape by boat. Police shot out the engine. He had no shoes on when he was arrested.
Harris-Moore has become a cult hero after stealing numerous planes and crashing them in islands around the Puget Sound area in Washington state. He was also suspected of burglary and stealing boats. He would often crash the planes he stole and take to hiding in the dense coastal wilderness. Just like an animal.
This ends the greatest outlaw adventure story of the decade. The crime spree will likely get this 19 year old kid something like 15 years in the pokey.
A bar at the ferry landing also was burglarized Wednesday night by a thief who cut a screen to break in, dismantled a security light and moved the television's remote controls, said Denaldo Bain, the 30-year-old manager of Coakley's International Sporting Lounge.
"He was watching television. He was just chilling," said Bain, who also said he saw the teenager in the inlet.
Sightings were later reported elsewhere in Eleuthera, including at a bar in Governor's Harbour, 50 miles to the south, where one witness said Harris-Moore bought drinks for a girl. Others claimed to see him driving a rental car around the island Saturday.
I love that he was trying to mack while on the lamb. How in the hell did this kid make it to the Bahamas?
We here at Superbeast do not condone Harris-Moore's actions, but we love a good old American crime story.

Flying a plan at a young age is what you call a gifted kid. I vote to free him of all charges.
He'll be one rich s.o.b with some movie deals. Very smart man. His beast will come out in court.
