Bill Withers in Still Bill.
Born in Slab Fork, West Virginia, Bill Withers was just a regular dude who could carry a tune or two. He was making toilets for the Douglas Aircraft Corporation when his hit single "Ain't No Sunshine" broke in 1971. His co-workers didn't believe him when he told them he performed on Johnny Carson the night before. He's taken a 25 year hiatus from recording music to be with his family and live a normal life without celebrity. A true superbeast.
Check out the documentary film Still Bill and learn about the man that truly has it figured out. It's an intimate portrait of a soul and blues legend that defied the norm, and didn't give two shits about doing so.
